Limited numbered edition (107 of 200) of Herbert Delahaye Miles’s last poetry compilation. Near Fine, as a few of the pages are slightly creased (shown in photographs). Tight binding and clean text. Printed and Bound by the author in the last years of his life. Miles, an executive in the Chicago area, moved to Asheville, NC in 1912. A force in early Asheville’s economic development, as well as it’s literary tradition, Miles was responsible for the formation of Pritchard Park in Downtown as well as the renovations to the Miles Building on the corners of Battery Park, Haywood and Patton Avenue. This limited edition book of poetry also includes two additional pages which seem to be a post-published revision of poem, “Take Heart” on pages 12 and 13.
